OpenAI adds persistent personality options to ChatGPT

OpenAI is rolling out a new feature that will allow ChatGPT users to set a persistent personality and instruction set for the chatbot. This will apply across all chat windows and could be used to ensure it always responds in a certain, consistent way. The company says it will be available as a beta feature to Plus subscribers in the US to start, but will role out more widely in the coming months.
