Black Mirror Creator Charlie Brooker Asked ChatGPT to Write an Episode: It Was ‘S**t’

ChatGPT may feel like it’s straight out of a Black Mirror episode but it definitely won’t be replacing the show’s writers.

During an interview with Empire Magazine, Charlie Brooker revealed he tried to get ChatGPT to write an episode of Black Mirror but wasn’t impressed with how it turned out.

“I’ve toyed around with ChatGPT a bit,” he said. “The first thing I did was type ‘generate Black Mirror episode’ and it comes up with something that, at first glance, reads plausibly, but on second glance, is s**t.”
