Apple recently released the iOS 16.4 update to users worldwide, which included new emojis and vital security patches, and the tech giant is now seeding the third beta of iOS 16.5. The update is minor and is expected to arrive in late April or early May. With WWDC just over two months away, iOS 16.5 could be the final iOS 16 update before the first iOS 17 beta is released in June.
Let’s take a look at what’s new in iOS 16.5 Beta 3.

iOS 16.5 Beta 3 Update
As of the time of writing, iOS 16.5 Beta 3 is still a new release, so users are still looking for any new features or improvements introduced by Apple. For the time being, the update appears to be a minor bug fix release, as evidenced by the screenshot provided by XDA Developers.

The previous iOS 16.5 Beta 1 introduced a screen recording prompt via Siri: users can simply ask Siri to start and end a screen recording. Previously, users had to manually switch on the dedicated toggle in the Control Center.
Beta 1 also combines the News app’s Following and Search tabs to make room for a brand-new Sports tab. The new Sports tab includes news and scores about a user’s favorite teams.
In terms of beta 2, it replaced beta profiles on the Apple Watch similar to how iOS and iPadOS 16.4 retired beta profiles on iPhones and iPads with a new toggle in the Settings app.
