The Samsung Exynos 2400 processors will allegedly include the new Xclipse 940 GPU and a deca-core configuration. Some reports suggest that the upcoming chipset could power next year’s Galaxy S24 series.
Samsung Exynos 2400 Rumored Specs
Self-proclaimed “semiconductor geek” Revegnus has leaked the specifications of the Samsung Exynos 2400 processor via Twitter. According to the tipster, the chipset will be manufactured on a 4nm process and will feature 10 cores, which will be headlined by a Cortex-X4 clocked at 3.10GHz.

The performance cores will include two Cortex-A720 clocking in at 2.9GHz and three Cortex-A720 running at 2.6GHz. The remaining four cores will comprise Cortex-A520 efficiency cores. The Exynos 2400 will allegedly come with 8.5Gbps LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 support.
In addition, the Exynos 2400 will feature the Xclipse 940 GPU with 12 compute units, 48 texture mapping units, 768 stream processors, and 32 render output units. The chipset will include an NPU and a DSP as well.
When it comes to imaging, the processor will support a resolution of up to 320MP. It will be capable of recording up to 8K video at 60fps. Additionally, the chipset will support AVC, HEVC, VP9, and AV1 codecs.
Is the Exynos 2400 Good Enough for the Galaxy S24?
An alleged Geekbench 5 score of the processor indicates that it has scored 1530 points in the single-core test and 6210 points in the multi-core test, on average. Since the Geekbench scores for the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 are unavailable, we can compare it to its predecessor.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 managed to score 1556 in the single-core test, while it bagged 4987 points in the multi-core test. These numbers should be taken with a grain of salt though, since synthetic benchmarks are not indicative of real-world performance.
As of now, rumor-mongers are still divided on whether the Galaxy S24 will ship with the Exynos 2400 or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Some say that only the vanilla Galaxy S24 could get the Exynos 2400, while the other models will feature the next-gen Snapdragon chipset.
