Lava Agni 2 5G launch in India confirmed; Blaze X1 5G could tag along

Lava is gearing up to launch a new 5G smartphone in India soon. The Lava Agni 2 5G will make its debut in India next month, succeeding the brand’s first 5G smartphone, the Lava Agni 5G. Additionally, Lava is also expected to launch the Blaze 1X 5G alongside the Agni 2 5G.

Lava president Sunil Raina recently teased the arrival of the Agni 2 5G. While no official launch date has been provided, several reports suggests that the Lava Agni 2 5G launch date in India is expected to take place sometime next month. The Lava Blaze X1 5G will also be unveiled alongside the Agni 2 5G but targeted towards the affordable market.

Lava Agni 2 5G Specifications (Expected)

The Agni 2 5G is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC. The chip will be paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The handset will run Android 13 out of the box. The Agni 2 5G will also pack a 5,000 mAh battery with 44W fast charging support.

Lava’s upcoming Agni smartphone could also sport a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. For optics, the Agni 2 5G will get a 50 MP triple-camera setup. Additionally, a 16 MP selfie camera could sit up front. The Lava Agni 2 5G price in India could fall anywhere between Rs 20,000 and Rs 25,000, according to Gizmochina.

Details about the Lava Blaze X1 5G are still under wraps, although we expect the device to fall closer to the affordable 5G space.
