Last year, Samsung released the Galaxy Enhance-X, an experimental AI image editor app that included the ability to remove reflections or shadows, fix contrast, improve the HDR effect, and make a variety of other adjustments with the press of a button. The functionality is now being rolled out to the Galaxy S23 series with a newer version, though it is still in beta.
Samsung’s Galaxy Enhance-X Editor Now Available on S23 Series
The Galaxy Enhance-X is now officially available for the Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra. It can be downloaded from the Galaxy Store and weighs about 85MB in size.

Because it requires a powerful AI engine to function, the Galaxy Enhance-X is currently only available on the Galaxy S23 lineup. However, Samsung is working to make the app compatible with the Galaxy S22 series as soon as possible, with support for additional devices, including the Galaxy A series, also in the works.
According to a member of the Samsung camera team, the new version employs a more powerful AI engine to improve images and increase the effectiveness of the Galaxy Enhance-X.
What is Galaxy Enhance-X?
The Galaxy Enhance-X is an AI image editor capable of adjusting brightness, correcting HDR, fixing moire, removing shadows and reflections, and much more. With a single tap, it can correct flaws in any image.
Through its ‘Magic’ button, the Galaxy Enhance-X app provides simple tap-to-fix functionality. It is similar to the Photo Remastering feature found in the Samsung Gallery app.

There is also a Face section with various facial retouching options such as skin smoothness, color tone, jawline, and eye size. The app’s Portrait feature provides different levels of background blur and different background blur styles.
Unlike the company’s Gallery app, Samsung’s Enhance-X editor does not have full access to the photos. As a result, you must manually select the photos to be enhanced.
