Samsung’s next-generation foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, are expected to be unveiled later this year. Some key details about these devices have already leaked, and it appears that the devices are getting closer to release as they receive 3C certification in China.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 Get 3C Certification
According to the 3C listing, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 has the model number SM-F9460, while the Z Flip 5 has the model number SM-F7310. The 3C listing reveals that both foldables support 25W fast charging. Aside from the model number and fast charging support information, the recent certification has revealed no other details about these devices. In comparison, the 25W charging support is consistent with Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S23 series.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5: Rumored Specifications
According to recent rumors, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 could have a 7.6-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2K resolution. The device’s outer display is expected to be 6.2 inches in size with a refresh rate of 120Hz.
It’s expected to have a triple-camera setup, with a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10MP telephoto lens. The front might house a 10MP selfie shooter.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to have a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The device’s cover display is expected to be approximately 3.4 inches in size. The device is expected to have dual 12MP cameras.

Both phones are expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 could have up to 12GB of RAM, while the Galaxy Z Flip 5 could have 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
In terms of software, both phones are expected to ship with Android 13 OS with One UI 5.1.1 skin on top.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to come in Beige, Black, and Light Blue color options, while the Flip 5 could come in Beige, Grey, Light Green, and Light Pink.
