Sony’s upcoming smartphone, the Sony Xperia 5 V, may be released soon after receiving 3C certification in China. Previously, the device was discovered on Geekbench, revealing key specifications such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and the presence of up to 16GB of RAM.
Sony Xperia 5 V Receives 3C Certification
The 3C certification confirms that the upcoming Sony Xperia 5 V will support 33W fast charging. In comparison, its predecessor, the Sony Xperia 5 IV, supported 30W fast charging. Aside from the charging information, nothing else is known about the device.

Sony Xperia 5 V: Rumored Specifications
The Sony Xperia 5 V is said to have a 6.05-inch display. According to the Geekbench listing, it will be equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, with the same horsepower as the upcoming Xperia 1 V. The phone will also have up to 16GB of RAM and will ship with Android 13 out of the box.
Unfortunately, there is no information available about optics. We can expect the smartphone to have some camera improvements over the Xperia 1 IV.

The upcoming Sony Xperia 1 V is expected to have a 48MP + 12MP + 12MP triple camera setup. In terms of selfies, the smartphone is expected to have a 12MP front-facing camera.
Sony Xperia 5 IV: Key Specifications
To recap, the Sony Xperia 5 IV has three cameras: a 12MP primary camera with Dual Pixel PDAF and OIS, a 12MP telephoto camera with Dual Pixel PDAF and OIS, and a 12MP ultrawide camera with a 124-degree field-of-view. The device also sports Zeiss branding, so the Xperia 5 V is expected to follow suit. A single 12MP selfie camera is located on the front.
