Motorola Releases Teaser Video for Upcoming Razr 2023 Launch

Motorola’s new Razr foldable phone seems to be nearing its release date, as Chen Jin, General Manager of Lenovo China’s mobile division, recently shared a teaser video showcasing some of the phone’s features. Let’s take a look.

Motorola Razr 2023 Gets Teased

A teaser video for an upcoming Motorola Razr foldable phone was shared by Chen Jin, a Lenovo China executive, on Weibo. You can watch the teaser video here (thanks Android Authority).

The video provides a brief glimpse of the device’s features, with Jin mentioning that it will have a large cover display in another post. According to previous reports, the outer display will be 2.7 inches in size and have a resolution of 573 x 800 pixels.

According to a machine translation by Android Authority, the new Razr phone may also offer a higher refresh rate, although it is uncertain whether this will apply to the main display or just the cover display.

The teaser video also provides a sneak peek of the 2023 Razr clamshell’s dual-camera setup.

There Is More Than One Razr 2023 Model

Previous reports have indicated that there are two versions of the Razr phone in development: a standard (or Pro) model, and a Lite model. Recently, a Geekbench listing revealed the “Razr 40 Ultra,” which boasts 8GB of RAM, and other reports suggest that it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

It’s unclear whether the Razr 40 Ultra will be renamed Razr Pro or Razr+, monikers that have been floating around for a while, or if the Razr 40 Ultra is a completely different clamshell.

Meanwhile, the Razr 40 Lite has been making rounds on the internet and could potentially be released as the standard Motorola Razr later this year.

Regardless, the teaser video implies that a launch in China is on the horizon. It remains to be seen if the phone will be released in India, but if a leaked global launch date of June 1, 2023, is accurate, more information could be forthcoming soon.
