This year’s Google I/O 2023 has been scheduled on May 10, 2023. Google is expected to announce its first foldable Android smartphone, dubbed the Pixel Fold, at this event.
As is the norm, Google could make several major hardware and software announcements at the Google I/O 2023. But the company’s foldable Android device should be the highlight of the event. The premium Android smartphone is already tipped to feature the “most durable hinge on a foldable”. The smartphone’s live video has leaked online, which corroborates previous leaks about its screen and camera setup.

Google Pixel Fold Live Video Reveals Folding Mechanism, Screens, And Camera Setup
Google’s foldable phone may launch at the May 10 I/O event. The search giant hasn’t made any official announcement or even teased the smartphone yet. But judging by the number of leaks, it appears Pixel Fold should be announced at the Google I/O 2023.
A new live video revealing the Pixel Fold’s display details has surfaced on Twitter. The brief video reveals the cover and foldable display details of the Pixel Fold. It is important to note that Google’s name is nowhere to be seen on the device shown in the video. However, the device resembles the renders of the Google Pixel Fold.

The foldable display of the alleged Google Pixel Fold has surprisingly thick bezels at the top and bottom. The top bezels may have a user-facing camera when the inner display is unfolded.
The side bezels of the foldable smartphone appear to be slightly narrower in comparison. The device has a punch-hole cutout at the top center of the outer display for the front-facing camera.
The antenna bands are clearly visible but the bezels on the outer display aren’t. The video does not show the rear camera but reveals the device has a rather large bump on the backside. The bump may have been unavoidable as the device is rumored to feature a camera setup that offers 5x optical zoom.
The power button and volume rockers are visible on the right edge of the foldable smartphone. Interestingly, the power button is placed above the volume rockers.
The leaked video hides the content displayed on the inner display. Hence, it is difficult to ascertain if the device is the Google Pixel Fold.
