MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ Chip could be faster than Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC

For context, the recently launched Asus ROG Phone 7 managed an overall score of 1346106 last month. Considering the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC is the fastest smartphone chip out there, it is rumoured that the upcoming iQOO Neo 8 Pro will use the unreleased MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC.

The MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Plus SoC is a faster version of the Dimensity 9200 chipset. It features a 1+3+4 CPU configuration with a Cortex-X3 Prime core, three Cortex-A715 cores, and four Cortex-A510 efficiency cores. The CPU will be paired with the Mali Immortalis G-715 GPU.

iQOO Neo 8 Pro Specifications (Expected)

Apart from the chip itself, the iQOO Neo 8 Pro will also come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The handset will run Android 13 with OriginOS on top. It also appears to use a 120Hz AMOLED display, which is in line with past ‘Neo’ series phones.

The upcoming iQOO Neo 8 Pro will also be the first ‘Pro’ smartphone in the Neo series. Past reports suggests that the phone will opt for a 50 MP primary camera with a 1/1.5-inch sensor size. The handset is expected to pack a 5,000 mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging support.
