There’s more news regarding the upcoming iPhone 15 series. As per the latest rumors doing the rounds, the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus of the series will come with a frosted-back finish.

The news was reported by a Chinese tipster who has since then deleted the post on Weibo. This new look will make the standard iPhones similar to the currently available iPhone 14 Pro models.

iPhone 15 Series to Come With Frosted Glass and New Color Options

There’s an update on the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro model as well. The iPhone 15 Pro is also reported to come in a titanium frame with curved glass edges and thin bezels around the display. The Pro variant is also said to feature an Action button on the edge. All of these features will help distinguish the Pro variant from the non-Pro models.

The standard iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus will reportedly continue with the current design in an aluminium frame and the same bezel size.

It isn’t surprising to hear of a frosted-back design of the standard iPhone 15 models as Apple has had a long-standing trend of trickling down features from a Pro variant to standard models on subsequent iPhone series.

It was earlier seen with the OLED display which was available only on the iPhone Pro models until the iPhone 12, and also the Dynamic Island feature which is likely to be introduced on the standard variants of the iPhone 15 series.

The frosted-back design is also unlikely to have any negative effect on the removable back panel, as seen on the iPhone 14 Pro.

The iPhone 15 series is also reported to introduce new colors to the iPhones. While the standard variants is said to have a blend of cyan and green, making it somewhat close to a Mint Green as seen on the iPhone 12, the iPhone 15 Pro is rumored to get a darker red color.

For the unversed, Apple’s upcoming iPhone 15 series is likely to launch in September this year.
