HTC Wildfire E2 Play Announced: Specifications and Details

Shortly after launching the HTC Wildfire E3 Lite, the company has launched another new device, the HTC Wildfire E2 Play. The handset was launched for the African market on April 17.

While this may not launch in India any time soon, specifications of the phone are out. Let’s take a closer look.

Specifications of the HTC Wildfire E2 Play

The HTC Wildfire E2 Play boasts of a big 6.82-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with HD+ resolution. It also has a waterdrop notch to accommodate its 8MP selfie cam. The screen has a brightness of 450 nits.

When it comes to the camera setup, the phone has a 48MP main camera, a 5MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor.

The phone also comes loaded with a Unisoc T606 chipset.

When it comes to storage, the HTC Wildfire E2 Play has 8GB RAM alongside 128GB expandable storage. The storage can be expanded up to 256 GB with the help of a micro SD card.

Another key feature of the phone is a sliding privacy button on it’s side. On pressing this while using confidential apps that users may not want others to peer or peep into, the screen visibility reduces. This enables the phone to protect “user privacy with just the click of a button”, according to the product page.

The phone is powered by a 4,600mAh battery which supports 10W charging.

The handset also has a rear fingerprint sensor, AI face unlock feature and is powered by Android 12.0.

HTC Wildfire E2 Play: Sim Details and Connectivity

The HTC Wildfire E2 Play can accommodate two SIM cards (GSM and GSM), and accepts nano SIM cards. When it comes to connectivity, the phone has the options of Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G.

The phone weighs 210.00 grams.

It is available in black and blue colours and is expected to go on sale in Africa soon. However, price point has not yet been revealed for the HTC Wildfire E2 Play.
