New renders of the iPhone 15 Pro have emerged, revealing the design of the upcoming smartphone. According to the renders, the iPhone 15 Pro could get new solid state buttons.
However, these buttons may not be featured in this year’s Pro models after all, due to “unresolvable issues.” Instead, the solid state buttons could be used in the iPhone 16 Pro.

Much Ado About Buttons
There has been a lot of back-and-forth regarding the iPhone 15 Pro’s volume and mute buttons. A MacRumors report, in collaboration with tipster Unknownz21, showcases the side frame of the upcoming smartphone. The render features a single unified button to adjust the volume.
The report was later updated to state that the iPhone 15 Pro will likely stick with the two-button design. Meanwhile, the mute switch will be replaced with a new customizable mute button which could work like the Apple Watch Ultra’s Action button.

The outlet adds that the renders were leaked before Apple decided to veer away from solid-state buttons during the development. This technology will likely make its way to the iPhone 16 Pro instead of the iPhone 15 Pro.
Just recently, noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had quashed rumors of the iPhone 15 Pro models getting solid-state buttons, citing “unresolved technical issues.” However, the final design isn’t set in stone yet, as the iPhone 15 Pro is still in the EVT development stage.
iPhone 15 Rumored Specs
According to previous rumors, all four iPhone 15 models are expected to feature a USB Type-C port as well as a Dynamic Island. Meanwhile, the Pro models will feature a titanium body and narrower bezels.
When it comes to imaging, the iPhone 15 Pro models are expected to feature a triple-camera setup and an LED flash at the rear. They will also get a bigger camera bump with a protruding lens. Meanwhile, the vanilla models will get a dual camera system with an LED flash.
