The ZTE Axon 50 Ultra has officially been unveiled in China. The Axon 50 Ultra is the latest flagship smartphone from ZTE, opting for a Snapdragon 8 series chipset, a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display, a triple-camera setup, a large battery, and fast charging support.
ZTE is yet to announce the Axon 50 Ultra price and availability in China, while the phone won’t likely make its way to international markets. The ZTE Axon 50 Ultra also debuts as the industry’s first satellite communication 5G security phone. Here’s a look at the full specifications of the ZTE Axon 50 Ultra.

ZTE Axon 50 Ultra Specifications
ZTE’s latest Axon smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The phone packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging support. The handset also runs on Android 13 with ZTE’s MyOS 13 skin on top. The latest ZTE smartphone also has a dedicated ZTE-developed security chip that drives the encryption capabilities built into the hardware.
The Axon 50 Ultra sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ Curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and UL low blue light eye protection certification. The phone packs dual stereo sepakers with DTS:X Ultra support. The Axon 50 Ultra also supports two-way satellite messaging over the BeiDou satellite (BDS) infrastructure.
For optics, the Axon 50 Ultra boasts a triple-camera setup with a 64 MP primary Sony IMX787 sensor with OIS. The main camera is paired with a 50 MP telephoto unit with 3x optical zoom and a 50 MP ultrawide shooter. On the front, the device gets a 16 MP selfie camera. The Axon 50 Ultra also debuts as the industry’s first 5G security flagship mobile phone that supports satellite communications.
