The Asus ROG Phone 7 series has officially been unveiled globally and in India. Asus’ new line-up of gaming smartphones includes the ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate. The ROG Phone 7 series is the first by the company to adopt the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The Asus ROG Phone 7 is the first gaming phone to hit Indian and international markets in 2023.
The ROG Phone 7 arrives with a flagship Snapdragon chipset, the latest high-speed memory, a super-smooth display, massive battery, fast charging support, improved cameras, and the latest Android software. It is worth noting that the ROG Phone 7 shares the same specifications as its ‘Ultimate’ counterpart with the latter offering minor design tweaks and greater memory configurations.

Asus ROG Phone 7 Series Price in India
The Asus ROG Phone 7 price in India is set at Rs 74,999 for the sole 12GB/256GB model. On the other hand, the Asus ROG Phone 7 Ultimate price in India is set at Rs 99,999 for the sole 16GB/512GB variant. The Asus ROG Phone 7 price starts from EUR 999 (roughly Rs 90,100) globally, while the Ultimate model will set you back EUR1,399 (roughly Rs 1,26,150). 16GB/512GB model.
The ROG Phone 7 comes in Storm White and Phantom Black colours, while the Ultimate model comes in the sole Storm White colour. The Asus ROG Phone 7 series will go on sale in India soon through Vijay Sales and vijaysales.com. No official ROG 7 series sale date in India has been announced yet.
Asus ROG Phone 7 Specifications
The Asus ROG Phone 7 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset paired with the Adreno 740 GPU. The device comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. For software, Asus’ new gaming smartphone runs Android 13 with your choice of ROG UI or Zen UI on top. The ROG Phone 7 also features Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 7, and an IP54 rating for some splash resistance.
On the front, the ROG Phone 7 has a 6. Inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1,500 nits. The panel supports HDR and a 111 percent DCI-P3 colour coverage. It features a 165Hz refresh rate and a 720Hz touch sampling rate. The screen also features Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
Moving on to optics and the ROG Phone 7 is equipped with a 50 MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor. The main camera is paired with a 13 MP ultrawide shooter and an updated 5 MP macro camera. On the front, the ROG Phone 7 has a 32 MP selfie camera. Additionally, the gaming smartphones supports video recording in 8K resolution at 30fps or 4K resolution at up to 60fps.
Optimised for Gaming
The latest gaming phone from Asus also packs a large 6,000 mAh battery that is split into two 3,000 mAh cells for optimal charging. The phone also supports 65W fast charging. Asus has also equipped the ROG Phone 7 with improved cooling through Game Cool, which has re-shaped graphite sheet and a rapid-cycle vapor chamber. Asus claims the new cooling system is 5 percent larger and offers 10 percent better thermal performance.
The ROG Phone 7 also comes with the iconic AirTrigger ultrasonic shoulder controls. It also boasts an X-axis linear vibration motor that provides vibration mapping for realistic haptics. Asus’ new gaming smartphone also enables ray tracing on supported titles. It packs stereo speakers with stronger bass and a 3.5mm headphone jack with Dirac tunning.
Asus ROG Phone 7 Ultimate Specifications
The Asus ROG Phone 7 Ultimate features the same specifications as the vanilla ROG Phone 7, although the former offers 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. However, Asus also includes the new AeroActive Cooler 7 with the Ultimate model.
