Xiaomi 13 Ultra Is Officially Arriving on April 18th

The much-awaited Xiaomi 13 Ultra has been the talk of the town lately, with numerous leaks and rumors surfacing online. From leaked design renders to an accidental reveal of the launch date on a Chinese app store, we’ve been getting more and more glimpses of what to expect from this uber-premium device. And now, Xiaomi has finally put all the speculations to rest by officially confirming that its top-tier flagship smartphone will make its grand debut on April 18th, 2023.

Xiaomi Announced a Global Launch Event for 13 Ultra

Xiaomi has announced that it will be hosting a global launch event on April 18th to unveil its flagship 13 Ultra smartphone. Alongside a global release, the device will also make its debut in China.

However, there is no word yet on whether the 13 Ultra will make its way to India, leaving fans in the country in a state of uncertainty. While Xiaomi’s previous offering, the 12S Ultra, did not make it to Indian shores, hopes are high that the 13 Ultra will break the pattern and give tough competition to dominant players like Samsung and Apple in the premium smartphone segment. Only time will tell if Xiaomi decides to bring its latest flagship to Indian consumers.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra: Rumored Specifications

Rumors suggest that the upcoming smartphone will sport a 6.7-inch, 2K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.

In terms of optics, the smartphone is expected to have a quad-camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX989 sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and two 50MP telephoto cameras, one of which could offer 3x optical zoom. As for the selfie camera, it’s tipped to be a 32MP camera.

The battery is expected to be a 4,900mAh cell with 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support.

Lastly, the phone is expected to ship with Android 13 out of the box with MIUI 14 on top.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra: Rumored Price

According to rumors, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will cost between CNY 6,299 (~ ₹75,100) and CNY 7,499 (~ ₹89,500). According to reports, the smartphone will be available in three different configurations.
