The Tecno Phantom V Fold has officially been unveiled in India. The Phantom V Fold arrives as the first foldable smartphone from Tecno and is the most affordable foldable phone in India. To recall, the Tecno Phantom V Fold was first showcased at MWC 2023 and is only just making its way to Indian markets.

Tecno’s first foldable smartphone has all the makings of a reliable foldable smartphone with a well-crafted hinge, flagship chipset, two LTPO AMOLED displays, a large battery, and the latest software with optimisations for the foldable form factor. The Tecno Phantom V Fold price in India is set at Rs 89,999 for the base 12GB/256GB model. Additionally, the foldable smartphone also comes in a 512GB storage option that will set you back Rs 99,999. The Tecno Phantom V Fold will be available at a special starting price of Rs 77,777 exclusively through Amazon India today (April 12, 2023). Additionally, the Phantom V Fold pre-booking in India will start from April 22.

The Tecno Phantom V Fold launch offers include a cashback of Rs 5,000 HDB Financial Services Transactions. Tecno is also offering a two-year warrant to those pre-booking the device, a six-month free one-time screen replacement, a free case and stand, and a gift worth Rs 5,000. Tecno is also offering No Cost EMI payment option up to 24 months.

Tecno Phantom V Fold Specs

The Phantom V Fold is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ SoC paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Additionally, up to 9GB of unused storage can be utilised as extended RAM through Tecno’s Memory Fusion feature. Tecno’s foldable smartphone also runs Android 13 based on the HiOS 13 Fold skin.

The Tecno Phantom V Fold sports a 7.85-inch LTPO AMOLED display on the inside with a resolution of 2000 x 2296 pixels. The screen boasts an adaptive refresh rate between 10Hz – 120Hz. Tecno’s foldable smartphone also features a 6.4-inch LTPO AMOLED cover screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2550 pixels. The cover display also has an adaptive refresh rate and has Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

The Phantom V Fold packs a large 5,000 mAh battery and supports 45W wired fast charging support. There’s no wireless charging, although an adapter is included in the box. Tecno says it uses Aerospace material on the hinge of the Phantom V Fold and that it is tested for over 200,000 folds. The Black colour variant of the Phantom V Fold uses renewable fibre material for the back panel, while the White version features an organic silicone leather back.

On the back, the Phantom V Fold uses a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50 MP primary sensor, a 50 MP telephoto unit with 2x optical zoom, and a 13 MP ultrawide shooter. The internal screen on the Phantom V Fold gets a 16 MP camera sensor housed in a hole-punch cut-out. And lastly, there’s a 32 MP selfie camera on the Phantom V Fold’s cover screen.
