The Oppo Find X6 Pro was unveiled last month as the company’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 powered smartphone. Now, less than a month later, the Find X6 Pro has found its way to the top of the camera charts, claiming the title of ‘smartphone with the best cameras’.

According to DxOMark, the Oppo Find X6 Pro has the best smartphone cameras to date. DxOMark recently uploaded its full review of the Oppo Find X6 Pro’s cameras, where it gave the device an overall score of 153 points, dethroning the Honor Magic 5 Pro.

Oppo Find X6 Pro Review Summary – DxOMark

The overall score of 153 points also puts the Oppo Find X6 Pro ahead of the Huawei Mate 50 Pro, Google Pixel 7 Pro, and Apple iPhone 14 Pro. Breaking down the review, the Oppo Find X6 Pro scored 153 points for photo, 148 points for video, 154 points for zoom performance, and 80 points for Bokeh. It also managed a lowlight score of 132 points.

DxOMark’s Oppo Find X6 Pro review also notes that the camera system offers excellent low-light and night performance resulting in highly detailed images. Photos and videos were consistently sharp with rich textures and less noise. DxOMark also praised image sharpness and detail as well as video zoom range.

The phone also took outstanding portraits with the best-in-class background blur. However, DxOMark was critical of the Find X6 Pro’s occasional oversaturation of skin tones and the lack of an HDR image preview. At the time of writing, DxOMark didn’t score the selfie camera of the Find X6 Pro.

The Find X6 Pro gets a triple-camera setup housed within a large circular camera island on the back. At the helm sits a 50 MP 1-inch Sony IMX989 primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS support. It is paired with a 50 MP ultrawide shooter with a Sony IMX890 sensor, which is the largest on an ultrawide to date. Lastly, there’s a 50 MP periscope shooter with the same Sony IMX890 sensor, an f/2.6 aperture and a 65mm equivalent focal length.

Oppo has collaborated with Hasselblad for the camera software on the Find X6 Pro. Moreover, the device also features a custom MariSilicon X ISP. The Oppo Find X6 Pro also offers 3x optical zoom and 120x digital zoom. The camera system supports shooting in Dolby Vision 4K HDR. The three rear cameras also support deep fusion of uncompressed RAW image data. For selfies, the Oppo Find X6 Pro opts for a 32 MP camera with a Sony IMX709 sensor.
