Tecno is expected to launch the Tecno Camon 20 series in the next few weeks. The Tecno Camon 20 appears to be the base variant, and the leaked specifications suggest it could be an affordable Android smartphone.

Recent leaks suggest the Tecno Camon 20 series includes the Tecno Camon 20, the Tecno Camon 20 Pro, and the Tecno Camon 20 Premier 5G. Let’s look at the specifications and features of the entry-level smartphone in the series as revealed by its Google Play Console listing.

Tecno is expected to refresh its Camon series of smartphones with the launch of the Tecno Camon 20 series. Three smartphones from this series have been listed on the Google Play Console. However, two of the listings belong to the same smartphone.

The Tecno Camon 20 is also referred to by its codename, Tecno-CK6. The listing reveals the smartphone is packing 8GB RAM and is powered by the MediaTek MT6769V.

The MediaTek MT6769V is an octa-core SoC, which has 2x Cortex-A75 performance cores clocked at 2.0 GHz. They are accompanied by 6x Cortex A-55 efficiency cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. The SoC has an ARM Mali G52 GPU clocked at 950 MHz.

The aforementioned specifications correlate to the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, which is an entry-level chipset limited to 4G networks. In addition to the 8GB RAM variant, some reports suggest the Tecno Camon 20 may have a model with 6GB RAM as well. However, buyers could get 128GB in both variants.

Tecno Camon 20 Rumored Specifications, Features

A few renders of the Tecno Camon 20 Pro had leaked recently. However, the looks and design of the Tecno Camon 20 have been shrouded in mystery.

The Google Play Console listing indicates the Tecno Camon 20 will have a Full HD+ display with a 480PPI screen density. It is possible that Tecno has embedded an IPS LCD screen instead of the more expensive AMOLED display to keep costs down.

The Tecno Camon 20 Pro has a triple camera setup, comprising a 64MP primary camera. The Tecno Camon 20 may have two cameras on the back. There could be an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies, video calls, and face unlock. Tecno is expected to offer a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The Google Play Console listing confirms the Tecno Camon 20 is running Android 13 out of the box, but the phone should have a custom layer of HiOS 13 on top.
