Oppo Reno 10 Pro Plus tipped to use Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, like the Reno 9 Pro Plus

Oppo is gearing up to launch new smartphones in its Reno series soon. The Oppo Reno 10 line-up is expected to make its debut in China sometime in April or May this year. However, ahead of its launch, several details about the Reno 10 Pro+ have been leaked by tipsters.

And the most recent leak comes from renowned Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, who claims that the Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The Oppo Reno 10 series will succeed last year’s Reno 9 series, although the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip has also been used on the top-end Reno 9 Pro Plus.

Oppo Reno 10 series launch timeline

The Oppo Reno 10 line-up is expected to bring three new smartphones into the fray including the Oppo Reno 10, Reno 10 Pro, and Reno 10 Pro+. While the Reno 10 series is expected to hit Chinese markets sometime next month, information is still scarce about a global launch.

It is worth noting that the Chinese smartphone maker is yet to launch the Oppo Reno 9 series in India. Additionally, there is no information about a global launch date for the Reno 9 series as well. So Oppo could skip the global launch of the Reno 9 series and introduce the Reno 10 series internationally sometime in Q3 2023.

Oppo Reno 10 Pro Plus Specifications (Expected)

Apart from the chipset, Digital Chat Station previously revealed that the Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ would sport a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution (1220 x 2712 pixels). The tipster (via MySmartPrice) also noted that the phone would pack a 4,700 mAh dual-cell battery with 80W wired fast charging support.

For optics, the Reno 10 Pro+ is expected to use a 50 MP Sony IMX890 camera sensor at the helm of its triple-camera setup. The other two sensors will include an 8 MP Sony IMX355 ultrawide unit and a 64 MP periscope lens, which is rare in the premium mid-range space. On the front, the phone will likely use a 32 MP selfie camera.

Additionally, the main camera is expected to support OIS, while the phone will also feature the dedicated MariSilicon X NPU found on the flagship Find X series. Other aspects of the Reno 10 Pro+ include the LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Moreover, the software side will be covered by Android 13 out of the box with ColorOS 13.1 on top.
