Asus ROG Phone 7 to Cost Under ₹80,000 in India: Report

The Asus ROG Phone 7 will debut in India on April 13, 2023. Ahead of its launch, the price range of the upcoming smartphone has been leaked online. The handset will reportedly be priced between ₹70,000 and ₹80,000 in India.

The Asus ROG Phone 7 lineup is expected to feature the basic ROG Phone 7, the ROG Phone 7 Pro, the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate, and the ROG Phone 7D in some markets. The vanilla ROG Phone 7 was previously spotted on Geekbench, NBTC, TENAA, and 3C certification sites.

According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the Asus ROG Phone 7 could retail between ₹70,000 and ₹80,000 in India. To recall, the ROG Phone 6 starts at ₹71,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model.

Additionally, Brar claims that the upcoming ROG Phone 7 will feature 12GB/16GB RAM, which will be accompanied by 256GB/512GB storage. The smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

The Asus ROG Phone 7 will pack a massive 6,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. The smartphone will also feature a stereo speaker setup and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

When it comes to imaging, the ROG Phone 7 will get a triple camera array at the rear. It will be headlined by a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera with OIS (optical image stabilization) support. It will be accompanied by a 13MP ultrawide sensor and a 5MP macro lens.

At the front, the smartphone will likely be equipped with a 32 MP selfie snapper. We can expect the Asus ROG Phone 7’s camera setup to record videos in 8K resolution.

Moving on to the display, the ROG Phone 7 could feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel. The display will likely have a Full HD+ resolution with a refresh rate of 165Hz.

As for the operating system, the Asus ROG Phone 7 is expected to run ROG UI out of the box, based on Android 13. The handset could get an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance.
