The Xiaomi 13 Ultra recently got an official launch timeline. Following the launch of the Xiaomi 13 series globally and the Xiaomi 13 Pro in India, the Chinese smartphone maker is now poised to introduced its most premium smartphone yet.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra release date is set for April 2023, which is later this month. Xiaomi recently took to Twitter to confirm the launch of its upcoming flagship smartphone, which it says will mark another milestone in mobile photography.

The company also confirmed that the upcoming Xiaomi 13 Ultra will make its global debut in the coming months, following its April 2023 launch in China. Xiaomi will also leverage its partnership with Leica for the camera system of the upcoming 13 Ultra. The tweet also confirms that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will feature the Leica Summicron lens incorporated on the Xiaomi 13 Pro.

To recall, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra was the first smartphone to leverage the brand’s partnership with Leica but didn’t make its way to international markets. However, the company has confirmed that its upcoming flagship will arrive on the international stage, all-but confirming that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra India launch is on the cards.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra Specs (Expected)

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset that is currently powering its ‘Pro’ counterpart. Accompanying the chip will be the latest LPDDR5X RAM (up to 16GB) and UFS 4.0 storage (up to 1TB). The phone will boot Android 13 with the MIUI 14 skin on top.

The phone is also expected to sport an E6 AMOLED display with LTPO technology, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a QHD+ resolution. The phone will likely use a 4,900 mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging support. It could also feature an IP68 rating and an in-display fingerprint reader.

On the back, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is expected to get a quad-camera setup with a 50 MP Sony IMX989 primary sensor, the same 1-inch sensor at the helm of the Xiaomi 13 Pro’s triple-camera setup. The main camera will likely be accompanied by three more 50 MP cameras for the ultra-wide, telephoto, and periscope lenses. On the front, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is expected to use the same 32 MP selfie camera as its ‘Pro’ counterpart.
