Redmi Note 12 4G Open Sale In India: Check Specs, Prices, And Launch Offers

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 12 4G last month, and the affordable Android smartphone is now on sale in India. Belonging to the Redmi Note 12 series, the smartphone has a 120Hz AMOLED display, 50MP primary camera, 5000mAh battery, and much more.

The Redmi Note 12 4G is the fourth Android smartphone under the Redmi Note 12 series to launch in India, but it is the seventh in the lineup. Xiaomi has launched Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition, and Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition but only a few of these models have landed in India. The brand recently announced the Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G as well.

The open sale for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 4G has already begun on Xiaomi’s Indian website. It will also be available on Amazon India, Mi Studio, and Mi Home. The budget Android smartphone will also be sold via authorized physical retail stores. The device comes in Sunrise Gold, Lunar Black, and Frosted Ice Blue color options.

Redmi Note 12 4G has been priced at ₹14,999 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage variant, and ₹16,999 for the 6GB RAM +128GB internal storage variant. An introductory offer of flat Rs 1000 off is available for ICICI Bank card holders. This brings down the asking pricing to ₹13,999 and ₹15,999 respectively.

Xiaomi is also offering an additional discount to existing Xiaomi and Redmi users. The brand is reportedly knocking off another ₹1,500 from the asking price. There could be some conditions that buyers will need to fulfill before they are eligible for the discount.

Redmi Note 12 4G Indian Variant Specifications, Features

The Redmi Note 12 4G features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1080 × 2400 pixels resolution. The screen has a 13MP selfie camera at the front, housed inside a centrally located punch-hole cutout.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 SoC powering the Redmi Note 12 4G is accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of Internal storage. Xiaomi is also offering another variant of the Redmi Note 12 4G with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The onboard storage can be expanded by inserting a microSD card. The phone features LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.

The Redmi Note 12 4G has a triple camera setup on the back, comprising a 50MP primary camera. An 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro camera accompany it. As mentioned above, the smartphone has a 13MP front-facing camera for selfies, video calls, and face unlock.

Xiaomi has embedded a 5000mAh battery inside the Redmi Note 12 4G, which will support 33W wired fast charging via USB Type-C port. The phone offers dual SIM support, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS, and USB Type-C connectivity.

The Redmi Note 12 4G also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a dedicated MicroSD card slot, an IR blaster, and a 3.5mm headphone jack but lacks dual stereo speakers. The smartphone boots MIUI 14, which is based on Android 12.
