Xiaomi launched two Android smartphones for budget-conscious buyers last month. The Redmi 12C is one of the most affordable phones in the Redmi 12 series along with the Redmi Note 122 4G.
Despite Xiaomi pricing the Redmi 12C very aggressively, buyers get a large 6.71-inch HD+ screen, Helio G85 chipset, 6GB of RAM, a 50MP main camera, and much more. Let’s look at the specifications, features, price, introductory offers, and availability of the Redmi 12C in India.

Xiaomi Redmi 12C Price, Availability
The Xiaomi Redmi 12C open sale in India has started. The budget Android smartphone is available on Amazon India, Xiaomi’s Indian website, Mi Studio, Mi Home, and via authorized physical retail stores.
The Xiaomi Redmi 12C is available in Matte Black, Royal Blue, Mint Green, and Lavender Purple color options, and two variants. The base model of the Redmi 12C with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage has been priced at ₹8,999, while the 6GB + 128GB model costs ₹10,999.

Transactions made using ICICI Bank cards are eligible for a discount of ₹500, which brings down the asking price of the Redmi 12C to $8,499 for the 4GB + 64GB variant, and ₹10,499 for the 6GB + 128GB model. There’s an exchange bonus for existing Xiaomi and Redmi smartphone users.
Xiaomi Redmi 12C Specifications, Features
The Xiaomi Redmi 12C features a 6.71-inch HD+ display with a 1650 x 720 pixels resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The 720p display has a 5MP selfie camera inside a dew-drop notch.
The Redmi 12C is powered by a 12nm octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, which is paired with a Mali-G52 MP2 GPU. The smartphone is available in India with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. Buyers get to choose between 64GB and 128GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 512GB via a microSD card.
There’s one more variant of the smartphone with 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. However, Xiaomi hasn’t launched this model outside China.
The non-slip texture on the Redmi 12C houses a dual camera setup, comprising a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. Xiaomi has placed the fingerprint scanner on the camera island.
The Xiaomi Redmi 12C packs a 5000mAh battery with 10W wired charging support. Notable connectivity features include a 3.5mm audio jack, micro-USB port, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS + GLONASS. Xiaomi is bundling a 10W charger with the Redmi 12C.
The Redmi 12C boots MIUI 13 which is based on Android 12. It has secured an IP52 rating for resistance to dust and water splashes.
