Vivo’s upcoming foldable smartphone, the Vivo X Fold 2, is scheduled to debut in China this month. According to the latest report, the smartphone’s battery and charging details have been leaked ahead of the launch.
The Vivo X Fold 2 also made an appearance at the 2023 Boao Forum last week, revealing that the foldable will come in a red color option. Although the brand hasn’t confirmed the exact launch date, we can expect it to debut in the coming weeks.

Vivo X Fold 2 Rumored Features
According to a report by ITHome, the Vivo X Fold 2 was spotted on a local product certification in China. The listing reveals that the upcoming foldable will feature a 4800mAh battery with 120W fast charging.
That’s a slight improvement over its predecessor, the Vivo X Fold+. To recall, the X Fold+ features a 4700mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging.
Moving on to imaging, the Vivo X Fold 2 will feature a Zeiss-branded triple-camera setup at the rear. It will be housed along with an LED flash in a circular camera module.

The smartphone’s rear camera setup will be headlined by a 50MP Sony IMX866 primary camera with OIS. It will be accompanied by a Sony IMX663 ultrawide lens and an IMX663 sensor. The smartphone will be equipped with a Vivo V2 ISP.
As for the display, the Vivo X Fold 2 will feature an 8-inch E6 AMOLED panel. The screen will have a 2K resolution with a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The smartphone will likely be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. It could be accompanied by up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
The smartphone will reportedly boot Android 13-based Origin Ocean OS out of the box. It is expected to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner for security. The phone will include power and volume buttons at the right-hand side. At the top will be a mic, a speaker, and a USB-C port.
