The Moto Edge+ 2023 has appeared on the Google Play Console. The listing reveals some key specifications of what appears to be a premium or flagship Android smartphone. It also indicates the launch of the smartphone is nearby.

According to the listing, the Motorola Moto Edge+ 2023 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset codenamed “QTI SM8550”. The chipset has a cluster of three different processors.

The QTI SM8550 has a single Qualcomm Kyro 780 prime or performance core clocked at 3.0 GHz. It is accompanied by three Qualcomm Kyro 780 processors. However, these are clocked at 2.5 GHz. There are four efficiency cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. The SoC has Qualcomm Adreno 730 GPU clocked at 818MHz.

The specifications of the chipset indirectly confirm the Motorola Moto Edge+ 2023 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The chipset is paired with 12GB of RAM, which could be LPDDR5X. A few reports suggest the smartphone could offer 256GB of internal storage.

According to the listing, the Moto Edge+ 2023 features a Full HD+ screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 and a screen density (DPI) of 400PPI. The display is tipped to have a 6.72-inch AMOLED with curved edges and a 165Hz refresh rate.

The Google Play Console listing confirms the Moto Edge+ 2023 smartphone will run Android 13 OS out of the box. The smartphone had previously surfaced on the Bluetooth SIG certification.

A few reports suggest the Motorola Moto Edge+ 2023 could be a rebranded Moto X40. Its predecessor, the Moto Edge+ 2022 was a rebrand of the Moto X30 when it launched in the US market. Hence, the same trend may be repeated for the upcoming Motorola smartphone for the US market.
