Oppo is readying the Oppo A1 5G, a mid-range Android smartphone. The device has surfaced not only on Geekbench but also in the database of China Telecom.

Oppo is actively working to expand in the mid-range Android smartphone category after launching multiple products in the premium segment under the Oppo Find X6 series earlier this year. The A series from Oppo is intended for budget and mid-range smartphone buyers. The brand recently launched the Oppo A1X 5G smartphone in China. As the name indicates, the Oppo A1X 5G sits above the Oppo A1 5G. The recently launched Android smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC.

The Oppo A1 5G smartphone has been listed in China Telecom’s (via) terminal product library. The TENAA listing revealed the model number PHS110, which is the same as the China Telecom listing. Additionally, Oppo has been testing and finetuning the performance of the device. This is indicated by the Geekbench benchmarking database.

Oppo A1 5G Leaked Specifications, Features

Oppo is yet to officially announce the Oppo A1 5G. Hence, most of the specifications and features of the Android smartphone have been collated from the TENNA listing, Geekbench database, and leaks about the device.

Oppo is expected to embed a large 6.72 inches IPS LCD screen with a Full HD+ resolution in the Oppo A1 5G. The display will have a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz.

The Geekbench listing reveals the Oppo A1 5G is powered by an SM6375 chipset that packs 8 CPU cores, of which, 2 performance cores are clocked at 2.21 GHz, while the rest of the six CPUs are efficiency cores that are clocked at 1.80 GHz.

The specifications of the chipset suggest Oppo has embedded the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC inside the Oppo A1 5G. The mid-range SoC could be paired with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM, but buyers are expected to get 256GB of internal storage in both variants. Oppo should provide a dedicated microSD card slot for expanding onboard storage.

The Oppo A1 5G is rumored to feature a dual camera setup on the back, comprising a primary 50MP sensor with PDAF and a secondary 2MP depth sensor. There could be an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies, video calls, and face unlock.

Oppo has reportedly embedded a 5000mAh battery inside the Oppo A1 5G but the fast-charging tech it will support is currently unknown. The Geekbench listing indicates the Oppo A1 5G is running Android 13.

The China Telecom listing indicated the power button of the Oppo A1 5G is on the right side, with an integrated fingerprint sensor and volume rockers on the left. There’s a USB type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a speaker grill at the bottom. There’s an IR blaster and a secondary microphone on top of the smartphone.
